HomeFront’s mission is to end homelessness in Central New Jersey by harnessing the caring, resources and expertise of the community. They lessen the immediate pain of homelessness and help families become self-sufficient. They work to give their clients the skills and opportunities to ensure adequate incomes, and they work to increase the availability of adequate, affordable housing. They help homeless families advocate for themselves individually and collectively.
TASK’s mission is to feed those who are hungry in the Trenton area and offer programs to encourage self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life of their patrons. Since 1982, they have never turned away anyone who has asked for a meal. Today, they also provide case management services, adult education programs, job search assistance and creative arts classes, empowering those they serve to thrive, not just survive.
Younity’s mission is to prevent abuse, protect families, and change lives through empowerment and a safety net of supportive services. Younity provides quality, compassionate, and nonjudgmental services in a manner that fosters self-respect and independence in persons experiencing domestic violence or a sexual assault. Younity is the leading non-profit agency serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Mercer County, NJ.
The mission of Center For Family Services is to support and empower individuals, families, and communities to achieve a better life through vision, hope, and strength. They maintain a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. They provide services across New Jersey, including addiction & recovery, counseling & behavioral healthcare, early learning programs, family support, safe & supportive housing, workforce development, community connections, and more.
The Mercer County Board of Social Services is committed to providing economic and social services to individuals and families residing in Mercer County, NJ based upon financial need. Anchor House is located in Trenton, New Jersey, offering safe housing, crisis intervention, community outreach, and supportive services to youth and young adults ages 12 to 24 who have runaway, are at risk of, or experiencing abuse, neglect, homelessness, or are aging out of the child welfare system. They provide a comprehensive and trauma-informed system of care to help our youth and their families prepare for productive and independent lives. All services are provided free of charge.
Mercer Street Friends works throughout Mercer County with a concentration in the Greater Trenton area to help individuals and families who are facing economic disparity reach their full potential. Their resources and programs include delivering food security through their food bank, providing social and emotional care to parents and families, and offering educational opportunities through their preschool, community school initiative, and adult education programs.
Rescue Mission of Trenton works to help those who have nowhere else to turn. They help individuals obtain permanent supportive housing, health care, behavioral health counseling and to see new possibilities in themselves. They help those seeking recovery with licensed clinical staff who provide a comprehensive therapeutic approach, including individual and group counseling, medical evaluations and referrals, as well as educational and vocational opportunities.
